Buy sealed retail packs only
A retail pack arrives shrink-wrapped or foil-sealed under the lid, with the manufacturer’s own printing intact. Decanted tubs, unlabelled bags and repackaged scoops give you nothing to verify. Batch code, expiry and storage
Check the batch code and best-before date against the tub itself, not against a listing photograph. Both are printed by the manufacturer, usually on the base or the lid. At home, keep the tub sealed, dry and out of direct sun, and close the lid firmly after each use. Storage directions printed on the pack override anything written here. Photograph the batch code when the pack arrives; it makes any later enquiry faster.
Questions worth asking a seller
Ask what brand and exact product you are getting, the flavour and pack size, and whether it is a sealed retail unit. Ask how it ships and what happens if it arrives damaged.
